In 2020, inspired by her travels, and the seclusion brought on by outside forces, she began to passionately pursue the ancient Greek technique of encaustic painting. Firing molten beeswax (mixed with damar resin) and India inks in a modern version of the technique that uses fire to apply and infuse pigments (and at times torched fabric) into wax. She creates timeless paintings of landscapes and abstract and figurative works.
